Nineteen works by 13 members of the Contemporary QuiltArt Association of Seattle have been juried into "World View: Social Justice and Social Causes." The exhibition of art quilts will be held at University Unitarian Church, 6556 35th Avenue NE in Seattle April 3 through May 5, 2005. Admission is free, and the exhibition is open by appointment by contacting the church office at (206) 525-8400, extension 10. An opening reception will be held Sunday, April 3, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participating in the exhibition are Seattle artists Bonny Brewer, Lorraine Edmond, Barbara O'Steen and Patti Shaw; Bellevue artists Deborah Gregory and Gale Whitney; Maria Groat from Bainbridge Island; Janet Kurjan from Lake Forest Park; Miriam Otte from Newcastle; Dorothy Ives Quinn from Pt. Orchard; and Jo Van Patten from Greenbank. Works by jurors Kelli Radcliffe of Edmonds and Janet Steadman of Clinton are also on display.

The Contemporary QuiltArt Association is an arts organization which sponsors and promotes the professional endeavors of artists working in the quilt medium. The association seeks to educate the public about this art ting our way to real energy independence and having energy sources that create jobs and lower prices.
